Superhero week suspended

Note to self: Laptops and children jumping on the bed do not mix. I might not be around much for a little while.

    I feel your pain.

    Laptop motherboards don’t like juice.

I’ve also cracked a screen before, but it was a employers machine, and conveniently someone else had droken their hard drive, so I salvaged his screen, but they are a couple of quid of the shelf.

Hope you are sorted soon, would these guys http://www.macking.co.uk/index.php be of use?

Hmmm… this isn’t a clever scheme to get one of those new MacBook Pros, is it? They’re only about 1500 pounds. Or you could get a fairly equivalent Lenovo for about 900.

That poor little MacBook. Mine wept a little when it saw that, I must admit, so did I.

Normally I would take the time to leave a cleverly-crafted comment. But in this case you probably won’t be able to read it anyway, so I guess I’m off the hook.

I’ve mannaged to cobble together another screen from an old desktop, so I’m back online although not particularly mobile.

Contrary to rumor I didn’t launch amy through the window when she broke the laptop, it was a genuine accident and ultimately it’s my fault for allowing bed jumping in the first place.

I’m not sure if the house insurance is going to cover a new screen. I hope so though. Unfortunately funds don’t stretch to a new laptop at the moment so it’s going to be a case of getting a new laptop screen insured or not.

    Ahh well, such is life.

Blogging shall resume shortly no doubt, but we may be going away for a day or two soon so it might be the end of next week

Hmmm … Oct. 16, Dan talks about a hypothetical sit-in at the Apple store while expressing his desire to obtain one of the new MacBooks. Nine days later, his old Macbook has a tragic *cough* “accident.”

    I’m onto you, man.
