World War III, the final battle. Part 2

cloud

Well, the USA has quite a task ahead of them. Morticia was able to polish off all the answers to the UK’s questions yesterday. She says this is down to being forced to watch crap TV by her mother, but this is a woman who has professed a love for the Archers so it’s pretty established she has a taste for shit programs allready. I suspect it was in fact Morticia forcing the rest of her family to watch You Bet.

Anyway, it’s the US teams turn now. And as this is the last in the series and the score is one all, there is everything left to play for. The USA has to identify all ten of the theme tunes in less than three hours fifty eight minutes or else loose the trophy to the mighty Brits. You can almost cut the tension with a knife.

Here we go:

Tune 1

Tune 2

Tune 3

Tune 4

Tune 5

Tune 10

Thats an outrageous slur sir, if I’d had my way we’d have watched nothing but The Addams Family and The Munsters. However you are spot on about the Archers – its become so tediously predictable recently that I tend to read online summaries of whats happened rather than actually bother to listen to it. The sooner most of the inhabitants of Ambridge drown in a slurry pit – the happier I’ll be.

I recognised Manimal, Smallville and Taxi and I know number 4 *does the smug dance*

8 and 9 are really, really bugging me though. I know I know them. I await the full answers eagerly (but not too eagerly, we Brits have to win this one :) )

Jeff S – 4 is Blue Thunder, and 5 is alf. Well done!

Unfortunately due to reasons of incompetence I didn’t record the fact that Catherine had already got number 8: Doug. So that means that team USA has now answered them all right. Which means I have no choice other than to stop the clock at 2 hours and 12 minutes and pronounce the US the winners.

    Damnit.

    Here are the answers.

    1: Dhama and Greg
    2: Smallville
    3: This Old House
    4: Blue Thunder
    5: AfterMASH
    6: Taxi
    7: Manimal
    8: Doug
    9: Alf
    10: Perry Mason

I’ve got a fantastic idea for another quiz. I shall unveil it in two weeks time. How exciting.

    it’s a bit strange..but I guess I played on the USA team so a ‘U S A !, U S A!’ would be appropriate now ;)

CamiKaos – I’ve never seen it myself, but I bet it’s a shadow of the original series.

Lise M – Fun? FUN?! war isn’t supposed to be fun solder!
