World War III. The second battle, part 1

Last time I did this the Brit’s throughly thrashed the Yanks, getting all the questions correct after 10 hours 14 minutes. The US team didn’t even manage to pass the finish line. Although to be fair they did get 8 of the 9 questions right – stumbling only on number 2 (Spin City). I’ll lower the difficulty level for them this time I think.

Ok, so just in case you didn’t catch this last time, here are the rules:

I will post a set of questions each weekend. Saturdays questions will be for British people, and Sundays for the Americans. If you are neither of these nationalities then just pick a side.

Saturdays questions for the British team will be posted at 12 noon London Time (currently GMT +1). Sunday’s questions for the American Team will be posted at 12 noon Chicago time (currently GMT –5).

The winning team will be the ones who answer the most questions correctly. In the case of a tie the team which has taken the shortest amount of time to answer their questions correctly will be the winner. The contest will be open for exactly one week. There is no prize other than basking in the glorious knowledge that your nation is truly superior to all others.

Who am I?

My name's Dan and I live near Huddersfield in the North of England. I’m a 34 years old part time stay at home dad. For three days a week I'm also a community mental health nurse but you won’t find me blogging about that here. I’m married to Kerry and we have two children - Amy (6) and Evan (3). Oli – 1 was QI, and 8 was 999. Didn’t you go on about Lovejoy last time too? I think you may have a problem.

Well I’m still in negotiations for an i phone when my contract expires in 3 weeks time. Jordan says he’ll have my i touch plus old N95 for Christmas. Did you swap your i phone?

Yep, I got QI and Grange Hill too. I recognised some of the others but couldn’t place them. How come you know all these young Dan. Your about my age or a bit younger I think. (I’m 33). Have you got the ear equivalent to a photographic memory??
