Good Eggs all around

Two days to go before the walk now and time to hand out the final bunch of Good Egg Awards.

The first batch goes to the walkers themselves. Thank you for agreeing to go with me, and thanks for all the effort you’ve gone to to get sponsorship.

From top left to bottom right: Craig, me, Dave, Gav, Lee, Mushy, Oli, Jez, Rich Bassinder, Rich Brook, and Sandip.

The second batch of Good Egg Awards goes to everyone who has visited here and found it in their hearts and ion their wallets to donate to the Joseph Salmon Trust. Thank you so much, words will never be enough to express how humbled and appreciative I am by the overwhelming support we have received here.

If you should be on this list and I’ve left you off then let me know (dghughes28(at)yahoo.co.uk). If you want to be on the list but haven’t donated then there is still time to do so. Go on, nudge us past that £2500 mark.

Tomorrow will be my final post before we set off. I’ll be putting up a feed driven from my twitter account so (theoretically) I should be able to text my blog from the road. I’ll also be giving you information on how to access our video diary which should be running approximately a day behind (i.e. you’ll see Wednesday’s video on Thursday etc).

Now if you’ll excuse me I have bags to pack.

Edit: Garry from Jerry Chicken has put another one of his paintings on ebay with all proceeds going to the Joseph Salmon Trust. It has a buy it now price of £30 – a bargain. if you would like to bid on it you can find it here

Dan, I’m so proud to know you. A true Englishman with a heart as big as a big heart thing.

I take back all the blisters and locusts and wish you a pleasant ramble through the beauty of the hills and dales. Watch out for potholes!

Sam – Yep, I imagine he’ll be inundated with orders now

Bogart – Thank you, and thanks for the support.

Jeff – Tell your dad thanks from me :)

Xbox – you better eat it quick because I think each one will be about three minutes long

Helen – I’m hoping the weather is like it was today, it was lovely.

Gail – I prefer the dales to the hills – flatter you see.

you’d better finish it and get at least one tiny tiny tiny blister (don’t wish any discomfort of course) just for the sake of the ‘I gave Dan blisters’ banner not being redundant for the last month or 2 ;)
