Put down the damn camera and pick me some strawberries!

Amy, Evan, my mum and I went picking strawberries this morning. I had hoped that in the process of filling our little buckets the kids would consume enough fruit to enable me to forgo feeding them for at least a week. Strangely enough though they weren’t that interested in them. Perhaps they would rather harvest them from a more natural environment – like the supermarket.

    Ah, memories. As kids my sister and I used to love going strawberry picking. Eat one, put one in the basket. Eat one, put one in the basket. Bugger, who am I kidding? Eat four, put one in the basket.

    Kevin – There was a thing in the news the other day about a pick your own strawberry farmer complaining because his customers kept bringing cream along with them. That’s going a little too far really.

    Jeff – Just about, yeah. I’m pretty sure he bruised his little finger doing it though so I got my own more subtle revenge.
