Sorry, I perhaps should have explained things. A year ago today NYC Watchdog lost his five year old son, puppy monster. I just wanted to mark the day and show that I am thinking about him today.

He has also been kind enough to link to the Joseph Salmon Trust on his own post marking the day. So I feel appropriate in directing attention to the links on the top right hand corner of this blog and asking you to consider donating if you haven’t done so already.

But the woods are full of them.

(I worked with a Cajun in Louisiana that used to tell me that all of the time. Except he called me Ed. He said he wanted me to feel good about myself–but to keep it in perspective.)

Who am I?

My name's Dan and I live near Huddersfield in the North of England. I’m a 34 years old part time stay at home dad. For three days a week I'm also a community mental health nurse but you won’t find me blogging about that here. I’m married to Kerry and we have two children - Amy (6) and Evan (3). In July of 2010 we'll be walking the length of Hadrian's Wall in six days. That's 84 miles across the entire width of England.

We're walking in aid of the Joseph Salmon Trust, a charity founded by our friends in memorial to their son Joseph who died aged 3 in April of 2005.
