Well, before they get over there, they will surely try to go through Canada first… I already get weird stares when I pronounce “z” as “zed” instead of “zee”, or I don’t say “roof” life “ruff”. I purposely make sure to add the “u” to the word colour, etc.

An American can spot this Canuck a mile (or kilometer) away…

Mum/Mom -> It’s ‘mam’ from our word ‘mamma’ Just like our abreviation ‘pap’ from ‘papa’ (dad-…..not really daddy). Although I bet we just stole the word from some other language a long time ago.
