Ooh I recognise some of those places - I drive past roadsigns on my way over to Clitheroe to see my Dad! He lives along the River Ribble too! If you happen to fall in at Ribblehead you can wave as you float past his house.

Bet you have a great time, although you won’t know that until you’ve soaked in a long hot bath.

So I’m driving to Beverley today and I’m listening to Radio Leeds and then on said radio station appear two people who appear to have the same ambitions as you do Dan, one of them even had blue boots on just like yours, they made him sound like a right pillock though so don’t go anywhere near that radio station.

I’ve said it before, and i will say it again. Although i will help to raise money for this just cause, i also intend to use this walk as an extended pub crawl, and will be drunk for most of the walk. I have actually bought a Camel Bak drinking pouch with a cooling system, which I will use to hold my drink, and will also bring a flask along to hold my favourite White Russian (the milk will serve as a food item).

P.S. During my drunken weekend, i managed to secure some more sponsorship from a Bav at Vox, and the Grove pub in Springwood. They couldn’t write me a cheque and were only able to offer cash, but because i will just spend the cash on booze, Dan will have to pick the money up.

P.P.S. - you must read the Palin Diaries, if you are a fan of the Pythons.
