It was a beautiful evening so I decided to walk down to pick the kids up from nursery rather than drive. As I ambled along the canal side guess who I saw?

Yes, it was the Duck of Unusual Size! He wasn’t ducknapped after all, he’d just relocated. Someone must have tipped him off that Jeff was after him and so he obviously had been entered into some sort of duck protection scheme.
Of course I may have now blown his cover, but rumor has it Jeff now has his eyes on an even larger prize anyway:

Caption competition anyone?

Sorry, I meant to say “You wouldn’t pay the ransom, I had to let him go.” Then someone said “call off the search” and I typed that instead. I’m an idiot.

Yay, he’s safe. And Jeff looks gorgeous with big bird, they make a lovely couple.
Oh, and the Monty Pyton comment, I live in Nottinghamshire you know??
So yes, even in sunny Mansfield, we got Monty Python, and Vic and Bob. I love Big Night out so much. Sighhhh ;)

WONDERFUL NEWS!
a safe duck is worth a gazillion frogs.
Who’s the freaky, somewhat round around the middle freak in the insanely bright colours? right next to big bird…?

I just knew the duck would turn up sometime.
As to big bird..it’s still strange that we’re (netherlands) probably one of the few (if not the only) country that made big bird BLUE, and gave it a name: Pino.
And caption contests are cool.
My entry just in case: Jeff saying ‘Size does matter’ *sniffles*

Sadly, Jeff learned that he was called Big Bird because he was tall. By then it was too late, bridges had been burned.
(that’s an awfully long caption!)

Miss Britt - Ted Rodger’s died quite a while ago, but i don’t see the relevance here
Rol - It’s nice to know that you wouldn’t sink to duckicide even when pushed.
CamiKaos - Not home exactly, he’s on a different section of the canal. But he’s safe, that’s the main thing.
Jeff - I suppose that’s better than some sort of “pluck” pun
Jo Beaufoix - My aplologies, I had you down as an American for some reason. By the way, make sure Jeff stays away from your blog, your ostrich theme might just tip him over the edge.
Avitable - I dunno, but he certainly has a lot of neck.
Xbox4NappyRash - Indeed. I wonder if I could get the Duck of Unusual Size to come round and deal with your taunting frog problem.
Arjan - You Dutch people take far too many drugs.
Ed (zoesdad) - But a damn fine one.
Joe - That’s where the “pluck” pun should have gone.
