We woke up to snow on Saturday morning. It was gone by the afternoon but at least the kids got to play in it for a couple of hours.
I morn for the winters of my youth when snow lay on the ground for days on end. Will my grandchildren ever even see snow I wonder.

Looks like fun. I haven’t touched snow in at least three years. We’re planning a trip up to the mountains in two weeks to introduce out kid to snow. We’re looking forward to seeing his reaction.
Great pics – as usual. I like the white snow on the green grass by the car tire. Not something you see around here.

Oh you can have some of the 30 cm we got last Friday or maybe the other 30 cm and 20 cm and 15 cm etc….we got over the last couple of months that is still on the ground and will probably be there for another 3 months…with more to come! :-)
No snow here. No snow at all. Bu those photos are the cutest thing I have seen all year. Beautiful children Dan!

I’m so glad you finally got some snow, Dan. I know you’ve been wanting to see some forever.
We would be OK with not seeing some for quite some time, but there you go.
Arjan – Snowdolls? you foreigners are weird.
Ed – She does love her wellies.
Jason – Just don’t leave him in it overnight.
Jeff – Unfortunately that grass is actually a plastic slide which i have yet to put up. I’m sorry to shatter your illusions.
Windex – Fantastic. Just pop it in the post and send it over.
Bec – Yorkshire and it’s inferior neighbours always used to get the snow. Now for some reason it seems to be Birmingham that has it all the time.
Whit – It’s a sad day for sledging when Huddersfield gets about the same amount of snow as L.A.
Bradley – We were in Chicago in March. There was no snow but plenty of rain.
Deb – We need to swop houses for winter. But could you fumigate first, i don’t think i could put up with that greg smell for more than a few days.
Oh I know what you mean about those many days of snow! Really, I’ve grown to dislike winter and snow because when it actually does snow, it’s just enough to make everything a mess and never enough to build a snowman! lol!
Both of your photos are just precious…

Oh, I miss snow. I passed through a burst on the way back from Manchester the other day but that’s the closest I’ve come to it this year. Dudelet experienced some when he was two but I don’t think he remembers it.
Lovely pics.

I’m back from outer space and I loved those photos. We lived in Phoenix (where it does NOT snow) so our kids had never seen any. When my eldest was 2 and I was pregnant with my now ten-year old, we drove up to the Grand Canyon so she could experience the wonder of white wetness for herself. Photos from that time are much like yours!
BTW, if you want snow, come to New England!
