Given that dudelet is a herd of rhinoceroses personified at times, I can only hope that it works out that way with our new little girl. Amongst all the parents at our ante-natal group, we were the only ones to end up having a boy. In the months after the birth it was amazing to see how quickly Oliver’s boyish behaviour differentiated him from his female playmates. It was certainly clear to see before his first birthday.

On the subject of differing siblings, Oliver’s younger sister is about as placid and mild-mannered as any 5 month old could be. Hayley and I had decided that we just wanted 2 children, but despite this we’ve each several times uttered the words “If we could be sure the next one would be like Lucy….”.

But every one (as they cliche goes) is different. And, like you, I wouldn’t have it any other way.
