She-Ra: Princess of Power
“For the honor of Greyskull”
She-Ra was basically He-Man for soppy girls. Unfortunately yesterday some bugger deleted the majority of her page on the mighty Wikipedia stating that “The article was far too focused on and connected to He-man.” and that the whole thing needed to be re-writen. I mean how pathetic, a grown man having nothing better to do with his time than write about long forgotten cartoons from the 80’s.
Doesn’t he have a life? I can see him now; sitting there in front of his computer with a bottle of warm diet coke, eating cold Spaghetti Hoops direct from the tin, trying desperately to meet some sort of self imposed but ultimately meaningless deadline. No doubt he’ll be overweight, probably got a beard and glasses. And he’ll be the stereotypical geek too: into Dungeons and Dragons, Star Wars, and Battlestar Galactica. He probably got all excited about the new Batman flm as well, the waster.
The poor deluded sod probably thinks that someone is actually interested in his half witted blatherings. That those numbers on his statcounter actually represent real people rather than members of his own family repeatedly clicking on refresh in order to stave off his inevitable breakdown. He probably believes that the comments he gets are real. He’s too busy staring at his navel to realize that the commentors are also creations of his family. It wouldn’t take Sherlock Holmes to figure it out either. They’ve maintained the facade for so long now they’re struggling to find new credible aliases for their creations, resorting to using random combinations of letters like Whit, Avitable, Arjan, and Steve.
Yes that guy truly must be a sorry example of humanity to…
…oh, crap.
Anyway, She-Ra was a version of He-Man for girls. That’s about it really.
I had almost forgotten about my days running around with my little brother yelling “I have the power!” Thank you Dan! I was happy pretending I wasn’t such a dork.
Just curious, did they have underoos in England?

I do not remember He-man or indeed She-ra.
I do remember Muffin the Mule though.
You could do that in those days without being placed on the sex offenders list.
Hey - Christmas is a time for old jokes isn’t it ?
Gary’s last blog post..Menston - “You’re a loony you are”
darnit I’ve been caught, and I even had a special server re-routing my connection through the Netherlands so you might think there were foreigners interested in stories about cartoons of yesteryear.
*keeping up appearences*:
While born in ‘84 I did see lots of He-man because over here they used to buy tv-series only after they were on tv in the US for a couple of years. I never saw She-ra though. I do remember bey-blade because my ‘little’ brother used to watch it now and then.
Have you ever seen ring raiders, that was awesome. Oh and someone put the mp3 of the Captain planet tune on my pc..omg.
Arjan’s last blog post..Upcoming…
I used to love Muffin the Mule, but I’m not too keen on mountain goats.
This foray into eighties cartoons has implanted the He-Man theme tune in my head, and as I don’t remember the proper words, I’ve somehow replaced them with something about taking around an hour to pick up a flower…
Thanks Dan.
