Steve – that would mean he works for Cosgrove Hall. See if you can wangle a private tour of the place. My dad knew an animator their and we got to have a look round when i was about ten. it was one of the best days of my life. I got to watch an episode of Count Duckula being drawn. I got to see all the sets and models for Wind in the Willows, and got to hold one of Chorlton and the Wheelies. It was bloody fantastic.

Oliver is a little young as yet, but make sure he stays best friends with this guy’s kid until he’s around five.

We've recently discovered that the father of one of Oliver's friends directs Roary the Racing Car, and Fifi, and who knows what else for good measure, at least according to his wife who admittedly should know. However, as I picture a director as a man in a canvas-backed chair with his name writ large across its back, shouting orders at minions through a megaphone, I am struggling to translate my understanding into the direction of cartoon racing cars. A rabbit is a, erm, rabbit. Actually I think he is a hare. He has a friend who is a mole if that is any help.

In this context, Dan, what’s a rabbit? I know that a caravan is a motor home or RV.

One of my peeves about kids toys at this time of year is the commercials. They make toys look wondrous and fascinating (yes, I realize that is their job). So your kid begs for the toy and asks Santa for the toy and you buy the toy and it does one thing and one thing only. Your kid is bored after three minutes and they go back to playing with the box. Toys should do more than one function, for pete’s sake.

Right now Pooter is deeply into Dinosaurs. He doesn't care what kind or who manufactures them. Thank God. Because last year, it was all about Cars (the cartoon movie). We could outfit a Cars display at any good sized toy store. You can find some Chinese toys aren’t linked to a film or TV show. Of course they’re poisoned with lead but then how bad can that be?
