My theory #1…
When the case goes to trial I would not be at all suprised to learn that the father has some sort of military history - and of course he definitely has issues with controlling other humans, women in particular.

At the risk of upsetting anyone who has ever served in the forces (including members of my own family), we seem quite happy as a society to train people to be aggressive and use weapons to deadly effect whilst at the same time institutionalising them - and them simply release them when we no longer require their services, into a world that has no regard for their new skillsets - its no coincidence that the percentage of ex-servicemen among the homeless street people is grossly disproportionate.

This story is the first that has seriously brought into challenge my disagreeance with the death penalty. My heart goes out to this family.

I like to think of myself as a fair minded person and not in favour of violence but in this case (and other similar ones too) I really hope that the guy who did this gets seven shades of sh+t kicked out of him repeatedly whilst he’s in custody.

I was reading about that and couldn’t even begin to imagine the pain of the survivors. What is it about men and violence?

I do not understand this. In fact, my ignorance of why a father would do this to his own children is so deep that it makes me just want to believe that it didn’t really happen.

I’d rather withdraw into a semi-fantasy life where bad things never happen to kids and everyone is happy and smiling and kind.

We had a teenage boy that murdered his sister and hit his 2yo cousin in the ehad with a sledge hammer last month. Makes you wonder whats wrong with the world.
