Rush on Northern Rock continues. The BBC report that the customers of the building society Northern Rock are still frantically withdrawing all their cash due to fears the company is going under. What’s the matter with these people? Haven’t they seen It’s a Wonderful Life?

My name's Dan and I live near Huddersfield in the North of England. I’m a 32 years old part time stay at home dad. For three days a week I'm also a community mental health nurse but you won’t find me blogging about that here. I’m married to Kerry and we have two children - Amy (5) and Evan (2). Joe Cornish's Quantum of Solace theme tune is fantastic. In fact so is his comedy partner Adam Buxton's version. Actually everything that these two put out is more or less genius. If you're not listening to their Radio Six Music show and podcast already then you bloody well should be.
- #Julia Nunes - Accidentally in love. There appears to be a bit of a fad on YouTube for doing cover versions on the ukulele. And jolly good they are too. Julia Nunes is the best of the bunch and even caught the eye of Ben Folds who got her to open for him at a number of US gigs.
- #Way to Normal. The new Ben Folds album is out, and at first listen it's bloody good too.
- #EepyBird's sticky note experiment. Or, lets be honest, post-it note experiment. Trademark restrictions have no place on my blog. A fantastically creative video.
