Oh Dan, that’s just lovely! I loved Right Said Fred, it’s still sung in NZ schools to this day. Sadly I always sensed I was a bit like Fred, even as a child :(
And this podcast has brought back so many other song memories… Puff the Magic Dragon, Two Little Boys, My Grandfather’s Clock… I liked all the tear-jerkers, it seems.
This makes me remember my father in the 60s, driving down the street saying, “Look at the long hair on that boy. Someday people like him will be President and I will want to live in Canada.” lol
