Amy is wearing the official t-shirt of the Wisconsin Macarena Society, featuring it’s mascot Bucky the Meerkat. We were given the t-shirt on our recent visit to Wisconsin by three of the original founders of the WMS - Greg, Deb, and Bon Bon.
Could be worse, she could be doing the dance from and demanding to listen to the Brotherhood of Man’s eurovision winning entry ‘Save All Your Kisses For Me’ though I think you are mercifully too young to remember this.
Sadly I’m not, its seared on my memory and is almost entirely responsible for the way I turned out.
I am more of the Bucks Fizz generation, and therefore am unable to pass by a woman wearing a skirt without trying to rip it off. It’s a medical condition you know.
What I love about this video, Dan, is not JUST your daughter Amy’s rendition of the ever-so-lovely macarena; it is the simple fact that you and your little one decided to remain in the frame doing your own thing. I love the fact that you guys are in the background. I literally laughed out loud….and it is 3 AM in Boston! Shhhhhhh!
Dan - What you can’t actually tell on the video is that just after I picked Evan up he started making wrenching noises and I thought he was going to vomit all over me. you can see me franticly looking around for something to catch the sick in if you look hard enough.
I was going to save that bit of information for the DVD special features.
My name's Dan and I live near Huddersfield in the North of England. I’m a 32 years old part time stay at home dad. For three days a week I'm also a community mental health nurse but you won’t find me blogging about that here. I’m married to Kerry and we have two children - Amy (5) and Evan (2). If you want to know how other's describe me then take a look here. If you haven't been here before feel free to say hello in the comments.

Congratulations to La Bête, the irritatingly wonderful blogger from Bête de Jour who has just landed himself a book deal. The bastard. My guess that it'll be either Xbox or Whit next. Or maybe Rol. Anyone but me anyway.
Julia Nunes - Accidentally in love. There appears to be a bit of a fad on YouTube for doing cover versions on the ukulele. And jolly good they are too. Julia Nunes is the best of the bunch and even caught the eye of Ben Folds who got her to open for him at a number of US gigs.

Way to milk the Macarena. I think it’s making a comeback.
Kids are cute as hell, your wife must be a looker.

Priceless! Looks like baby brother is getting some early macarena training.

What a mover - both of them - must be in the genes; and yes she is a looker - think she takes after her mother!

A medical condition you say, mmm I wonder if that will turn out to be the reason behind flashing judges on trains *grin*

It’s looking like you might have the little guy doing the macarena in a couple years too. I tagged you for a meme over at my blog, btw.
