Wow, get me a chair… I could sit there all day and just relax and gaze out over the hills. Love that rock wall. I’m fascinated by natural rock walls.

Once again I’m amazed by the coming-around-again of Wednesday.
Also very impressed with your pictures, though number nine’s background was a bit blurry.

You do indeed live in a lovely part of the UK, and you’re absolutely right about Last of the Summer Wine and Where the Heart Is!

These are gorgeous shots. I have no trouble viewing them.

I know what you’re saying about justifying the cost of a wide angle lens but this is more than just a hobby for you. You, my friend, are an artist and proper artists must have proper tools. You wouldn’t attempt to paint a masterpiece using only a cotton swab because it was cheaper than a paint brush. Eh?

  • Lori says:

I couldnt see anything….maybe im not getting the hang of it:)

  • Dan says:

Jeff – I might paint with a cotton swab if the paint brush costs over £200 :)

  • Kristina says:

Seriously, that is just cruel. Your village looks much like the ones we were shopping for homes in last fall. Right now we could have been enjoying the beautiful English summer – I’ll just have to settle for your amazing pictures instead. You really did capture the heart and soul of what I miss. Thanks :)

  • Dan says:

Kristina – I shouldn’t worry about it, it has done nothing but rain the past couple of weeks.

  • bon bon says:

beautful photos, dan! what lovely terrain you’re surrounded by! you have no good reason to sit on your ass and watch CSI: milwaukee!

  • Oli says:

I also want to buy a wide angle lens. My plan is to spend all the spare money I have on it, then use it to photograph a few rooms in the local B&Bs and hotels, (works well in small rooms!) charging them £100 or so, including a couple of prints. Three or four B&Bs later, and the lens has paid for itself.

    That’s the plan, anyway…

  • Dan says:

Have you approached the B&B’s about it?

Admit it, there are going to be naked ladies in those rooms too aren’t there.
