I was sat of the sofa, with Amy standing on my lap.
“Let’s play acrobats!†I suggested, intending to balance her on my shoulders.
“I already play acrobats when I am at Grandma’s house Daddyâ€
“Do you?†I asked innocently “How do you play that then?â€
Her eyes lit up. “You have to JUMP on the bed!†She shouted jubilantly, leaping into the air by way of demonstration and coming down heavily with both feet planted firmly into my stomach.
To be honest, I’ve decided that I don’t really like playing acrobats all that much.

Better your stomach than….
Anyway. Good preventive decision on your part.
Design fault here – she jumps from my legs/stomach onto the bed! I will try and think of a new routine.
A little bit of digging on my blog will reveal the arcane rules of ‘ouf and ouch’ (as in “Let’s play Ouf and Ouch, daddy”). Sounds strangely similar.
As long as she doesn’t still want to play it when she’s 24 I suppose I can cope.
