Day Seven: Three is the magic number

Untitled-1.jpgIt’s the final day of meme week, and to be honest I’m bloody glad it’s all over. I was wracking my brains trying to think of a final meme to do when a niggling memory started tugging on my synapses. In time it gradually came to me that someone had recently tagged me with a meme that I had not yet responded to. It was something to do with antibacterial wipes… something like Sanitary Uncle, or Bleach Brother, or… Hygiene Dad! That was it!

So here is my response to Hygiene Dad’s tag. I’m afraid it really wasn’t worth the wait.

  • Three things that scare me:
Going to prison, moths, unfamiliar social situations.
  • Three people who make me laugh:
Bill Bailey, Tony Hancock, Greg Lee.
  • Three things I love:
The Muppets, the internet, my life.
  • Three things I hate:
The Jeremy Kyle show, people who ride horses two abreast on the road, the Daily Mail newspaper.
  • Three things I don’t understand:
Hungarian, why Madonna doesn’t just retire, the reason why men are supposed to put the toilet seat down.
  • Three things on my desk:
My macbook, a can of Diet Coke, an empty baby’s bottle.
  • Three things I’m doing right now:
Contemplating going to bed, smarting over the UK’s recent thrashing in the Eurovision song contest, trying to get this blog post done before my bladder forces me to go to the toilet.
  • Three things I want to do before I die:
Travel on the trans-Siberian express, loose weight, write a book.
  • Three things I can do:
Juggle, make a damn fine vegetable stew, think on the fly.
  • Three things I can’t do:
Learn foreign languages, see well without glasses, enjoy horror movies.
  • Three things I think you should listen to:
The Proclaimers, BBC radio 7, your children.
  • Three things you should not listen to:
Far right politicians, misogynistic popular music, the Siren’s song (unless of course you have tied yourself to the ship’s mast).
  • Three things I’d like to learn:
Photoshop, cognitive behavioral therapy, to play the piano.
  • Three favorite foods:
Crunchy nut cornflakes, Chicken Rogan Josh curry, Peanut butter sandwiches.
  • Three shows I watched as a kid:
The Interceptor, the A Team, Mysterious Cities of Gold.

Whit from Honea Express recently generously gave me a thinking blogger award. While I am very much appreciative, I also realize that this was an act of charity – the only thing that my blog makes people think is “I wonder if his hosting company would take his site down if I wrote them a strong enough letter”.

I will neglect to respond to the award at this point, but if i ever put myself through a meme week again I’ll make sure it goes on top of the list. Cheers Whit.

Stop being so modest. I’m sure you make people think all of the time.

I was anxious to see what hygiene dad’s meme was, so much so I never checked his blog to see what it was. Getting home from an evening of working and drinking to find this waiting for me made me happy. It should be longer, that’s what I think.

Dan, you constantly make me think, “What would have been a better use of his time?”.

Oh ho ho ho. You know I’m only joking. And if you don’t, you should.

Help is always at hand. You did miss the wait ages for a bus, then three turn up !
