The cars driven by the character of James Bond in many of the most iconic action movies of all time have become legendary in the automobile world. They were stunning on screen, coming fitted with all kinds of exciting modifications. Of course, these gadgets and gizmos aren’t available on real-world equivalents of the Bond cars, but that doesn’t mean you can’t get your hands on one of your very own. There have been numerous exhibitions of famous James Bond cars, but what should you be looking for if you want to pick one up second hand?
You can find many sites on the internet now which provide an excellent range of second hand cars which are all at very affordable prices. One site you could find would be motors.co.uk who have a variety of available manufacturers.
1964 Aston Martin DB5 – Pierce Brosnan made his first appearance as Bond in 1995’s GoldenEye, and drove what became one of the most iconic Bond cars of all time.
2002 Jaguar XKC – an emerald green Jag was driven by Bond as played by Pierce Brosnan in 2002’s Die Another Day.
2008 Aston Martin DBS – this was the car of choice for Daniel Craig in his second appearance as Bond, in 2008’s Quantum of Solace.
Last January, fifty vehicles from 22 different James Bond movies went on display at the National Motor Museum. The exhibition was titled “Bond in Motion”, and not one but two of the Aston Martin DB5’s were on display. Several cars made their debut appearance, including the Ford Mustang Mach I seen in 1971’s Diamonds are Forever, and the Rolls Royce Silver Shadow II possessed by villain Valentin Zukovsky in the World is Not Enough.
