Easter Sunday morning I had to nip out the back door for a few minutes on an unspecified task. Strangely enough while I was gone the Easter Bunny had arrived round the front and posted the first of a series of clues through the front door.
Apparently this year the Easter Bunny took advantage of both digital photographic technology and the instant developing facility at Boots the chemist. Each clue was a photograph of a particular location in the house or garden. Amy had to go to that place and then find another clue. Every five or six clues there was a chocolate egg.
We all had a great time with the egg hunt, and it’s certainly something we’ll do again next year. As the kids get a bit older the clues will have to increase in sophistication naturally.
So for the purpose of posterity, here are the photos from the 2007 great Hughes Household Easter Egg Hunt. Many thanks to the Easter Bunny for emailing me the photos.

Can I come next year? :D
No. Someone might mistake your head for an egg baldy.
Cor that easter bunny is a busy chap and no mistake – that looks like loads of fun.
I might have to do something similar for Eurovision.
Wow! What a great idea — Kind of like mixing CSI with an Egg Huny.
Your Easter Bunny is much craftier than ours.
The Easter Bunny in our house just left my egg on the side… but then, we don’t have any children in our house so maybe didn’t think we needed to hunt for it! I’m jealous!
