I’ve got a phone with GPS (sender is small Bluetooth box) and I love it. I don’t use it often but it’s great when we travel.. Land in a new country, switch maps, and ready to go. But I must say that it makes drivers clueless after a while. Since the GPS is so precise, I rely on it 100% when i go to new places. Which means I don’t pay attention to where I’m at or where I’m going. Just staring at the damn screen.

Perhaps a lefty equivalent could be Mark Steele or Mark Thomas. I really like Mark Steele. I admire Mark Thomas but he doesn’t make me laugh as much.

Yes, it’s weird isn’t it. I love the man yet he epitomizes everything I hate. I just bought a book of his collected car articles for Top gear magazine and I don’t know a Ford from a Larda. I was trying to think of a left wing equivalent – an anticlarkson if you like. A TV personality who shares all my views but I strangely dislike. The closest I could get is Hugh Fernly-Wittingstal, but I quite like Hugh Fernly-Wittingstal.

Jeremy Clarkson! Yes! My hero! And I can’t even and drive and despise everything he stands for. But in Jeremy, it’s all somehow a virtue. Go figure.
