How to make Amy and Evan very excited

We were all rather thrilled to see over on John’s blog yesterday that the ducklings have hatched.

Seeing them there all cute and cuddly makes me feel a little regretful that I’m not shooting down to Wales this very minute to go pick them up. However the prospect of having to deal with the possibility of a surplus of males keeps the pangs from getting too strong. I’m very grateful to John for allowing me to leave them in his care for a month until their sex can be determined.

Plus, there’s that whole “shitting on their feet and flinging it all around the kitchen” thing he talks about. Yeah, I’m not sure that would go down too well.

Eeeew, shitty duck feet. I guess thats the downside of having big feet and no toilet.

In a public sign of solidarity I shall agree with my wife, very cute. (she is not getting one though)

  8. I’m sorry. They’re very cute but I look at them and I see food. Mind you – duck eggs! They definitely rock.

  9. as someone who is now having to deal with an awful lot of goat poo after thinking it would be cute to have a goat when someone offered it to her I say this from the bottom of my heart ‘Run! Do not look back, do not collect cute little ducks and whatever you do, do not pass your forwarding address on to John!’

Blimey Dan, I saw you’d gone from twitter and thought, “Arghhhhh blog gone, blog gone.” (I thought it out loud in speech marks and everything). So had to check you’re still here. Not around much at the mo’ though I have a ton of reviews to do as could not say no to free toys for kids, bad Jo, but otherwise am pretty absent (No rude comment there please.) Love the new look, nice chicks. Did you draw the header?? and love to all the Hughes. Not saying I’ll be back reading soon, but when I am, I will be reading you. Hope that makes sense. Not sure that it does. Ahhh well.
