One of the reasons I came out of my blog sabbatical before it’d even really begun is because I wanted to announce my participation in a rather exciting blogging project:
To quote the tagline: The Coalition of Awesomeness is a place where bloggers of awesomeness blog about things that are awesome.
There’s a lot of awesomeness in their I’m sure you’ll agree.
To be slightly more specific it’s a group of faintly geeky guys from all over the world coming together to muck around and write about stuff we probably should have grown out of a long time ago. If you’ve ever hung around the comments section of Lee’s blog then you probably know most of us already. And all the Hadrian’s walkers will know the delightfully profane Arjan (that Holland world cup match will stick in my mind for a long time)
I kicked the whole shebang off at the beginning of the week with a post about my greatest ever video game achievement. I’m quite pleased with it too, so go check it out.
And while I’m plugging stuff, don’t forget to check out our Midnight Movie Club Podcast every Wednesday. This week we’re talking about the 1993 film Demolition Man. Whats more we actually stay generally on topic this week, which is a first for us. You can even listen to it below should you be too lazy to click on over to our main site

I am going to give up blogging. And in order to do that I am going to set up another blog. Another blog which means I now have 5 concurrent blogs.
In order to do this, I am going to invest time in upgrading my current blog, such that I can properly promote my new blog. And I am going to change my current blog so that I am no longer pigeonholed into some blog category, therefore am free to change my current blog such that it is similar in theme to my new blog.
And dont forget, you can see me on my blog podcast, its of high quality the theme to which is similar to my new blog but slightly different.
Hopefully this will allow me to spend more time with the kids ;)

Apologies – in a strange mood today. I have started listening to the podcast and enjoy it very much now that I have internet again – and would recommend it to any younger brother who was duped into swapping his VHS for a betamax and a load of low quality recordings eighties movies as a child.
Also as a brother, I particularly enjoy Lee’s ‘put-downs’ of yourself.
As I recall I honestly thought you were getting a good deal out of that one.
I only used the f word occasionaly on that night, at least in my mind :P
If occasionally translates into every second word, I agree with you :)

Thanks, I like it too. And feeling like a new blog is quite important to me at the moment. New beginnings and all that.
I doubt I will be able to understand anything on that awesomeness blog, but will go and have a look anyway, seeing as I’m unemployed in 2 days time and will need something to fill my days.
Maybe you should start immersing yourself in geeky culture too! I recomen d Babylon 5 and Firefly to get you going :)
