@Gary, just when I think I can’t get any more excited about this Hadrians Walk thing, something else happens.

Although don’t worry, I understand the difference between “leave it with me” and “I’ll do it!!”

You wouldn’t have to do it for the trust if you didn’t want obviously. Although if you did it would add a nice sense of coherence we could exploit in the publicity.

I seriously think that would be a good idea, there is a Sustrans cycle route right alongside the wall, surprisingly called “Hadrians Cycleway”

At 174 miles it would be a four to five day effort, but I like the idea, very much – leave it with me and I’ll gather some more details.

@Gary, if you wanted to organize a cycling branch of the Hadrian’s Walk that would be bloody fantastic. But obviously I wouldn’t want to put you under any pressure to do that.

But if you did… Blimey we could make this thing even bigger.

Much as would like to claim credit for the film its not mine, but I sympathise with every word of the lads who made it, we were soaked through on Friday, many of the roads in the Lakes were impassable – and then we set off riding.

What a bloody great time we had too, if next years Hadrians Wall walk is half as much fun then it will be hilarious – in fact, there is a cycling version of that very same walk…
