I’ve been practicing my balloon animal making skills recently. I’m more of a conceptual artist than a realist, although I’m sure you’ll agree that it’s pretty obvious what this sculpture/hat represents.
First person to correctly identify what animal the lovely Kerry is sporting on her head wins one of my highly coveted no-prizes.

A giraffe?!
@Helen, I’m afraid not. Although you were close in that it does have spots.
Clearly a Yorkshire orangutan.
@SingleParentDad, I’m afraid not. Although you were close in that it does have a very expressive face.
Is the No-Prize a DC or Marvel thing? I forget which of them used to give those away in the letter columns.

@Avitable, it was Marvel I think.
How much to hire you?
[rq=2162,0,blog][/rq]It’s hard to get up in the morning with this in my bed
@DCUrbanDad, more than you could afford I’m afraid.
Is it a Dodo?
[rq=2163,0,blog][/rq]Oh dear, it’s been a bit quiet around here hasn’t it?
@Clair, I’m afraid not. Although you were close in that it’s greatest natural predator is man.
Is it Orco from He-Man?

@Lee, I’m afraid not. Although you were close in that it’s legs are hidden from view.
It’s willies. Clearly willies.
Not sure why Kerry would be sporting willies on her head, but it’s definitely willies.
@Oli, I’m afraid not. Although you were close in that it does have something to do with the reproduction system.
hmm I’m not even going to guess what it is, the mysterie that’s surrounding it makes it better.
And Kerry makes it look artsy.
@Arjan, She is thinking of taking up balloon modeling full time.
Is it a represenation of the H1N1 virus?
@Morticia, no, but now I wish it was.
Agreed that with your teaser comments, I think you should maintain an air of mystery about it and not announce what it actually is.
You don’t know what it actually is do you? ;-)
[rq=3424,0,blog][/rq]Random Three
@Kevin Spencer, Shhhhhhhh don’t tell anyone
Is it a toucan
@Pam gregs sis, no, but you’re on the right lines with the beak.
Ah – so I’m not the only one posting about clothing, then?
[rq=3607,0,blog][/rq]Terrible, terrible dress sense
@dadwhowrites, you will find that I’m by far more fashionable than you. Or at least my wife is anyhow.
Clearly–it is Snoopy.
[rq=4049,0,blog][/rq]Let the Festivities Begin
@Ed (zoesdad), nope, but you’re close with the whole “sitting on top of a kennel’ thing.
Ok, large-beaked birds it is then…
pelican
magpie

please, stop me when I’ve won…
[rq=4309,0,blog][/rq]Hmmm, I think I’d rather be awake
@Jeff, pervert.
It’s a cubist/ balloonist portrait of one of your chickens, of course.
You are going to chuck this whole nursing thing and make your fortune in the wide open field of modernist poultry portraiture. You will soon be hanging in the Tate, next to the Stubbs. Well done.
@JJ Daddy-O, that will always be the dream anyhow
Is it Woodstock?
@Oli, YES!! It is the famous music festival woodstock. I knew someone would get it eventually.
(actually it’s V98, but you’re close enough)
