Hot shaving action

on Jun 07 in General by

The more observant amongst you will notice that my blog header has returned to its previous incarnation. As fun as the other one was the novelty has worn off a little for me. There’s a big site redesign coming, I can feel it in my bones, but this header will do for a while until the winds of change come sweeping in.

Not that that means I’ve grown tired of amusing myself through judicious topiary of my facial hair however. Oh no, anything but. For example, take a look at how the well dressed man is wearing his beard this summer:

Pretty dashing I’m sure you’ll agree.

On another note, if you’ve ever wondered what I’d sound like singing the theme tune to Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles while accompanying myself on the ukulele then make sure you head over to Lee’s blog. I’m over there participating in his latest pop culture podcast supplement all about the cartoon versions of Leonardo, Donatello, Raphael, et al. While you’re there make sure you check out the main event too as it’s incredibly entertaining.

You can even subscribe to Lee’s podcast on iTunes, so go do it. And leave him a comment saying you’ve listened in order to encourage him to keep on making the buggers.

you should have gone with the Wolverine look and glued the knives to your hands.
I liked the other header, but this one just shows what your blog’s about, so if you’re redesigning, keep in mind that the ídea behind the header is still awesome.

    • Dan says:

@Arjan, I obviously was trying for the Wolverine look, but I think you need the hair to really pull it off.

I can’t be bthered waiting for my hair to grow. I’d be waiting for a long long time.

As for the blog header, that’s my sentiments exactly. The other one was amusing for a bit, but I feel it’s tome to go back to basics.

This had me blurt out a laugh.
I look at picture one, and think ok, beard shot one, and the next one is comical, beard shot two. As I am about to scroll down, I assume you will have just a mustache for picture number four., but no, its the cut shaving pic. I’m just glad I wasn’t in mid sip of my coffee when I seen it.

As for the header.. either one, or something new. I don’t judge a blog by its header.

I saw the title of this post over at my blog in a ping comment and came very close to deleting it thinking it was spam.

Fortunately I check out most shaving related spam before deleting and nearly spat my coffee out at the brilliant wolverine impersonation, you are indeed a many of many talents!

I was considering letting people vote on a new facial hair style for myself but then I went and shaved my head and now require the Miami Vice stubble to take attention away from it :)

@Rol, apparently though there are hoards of women all over the globe who are bemoaning the fact that they no longer have access to photos of their hearthrob 24 hours a day any more.

  • Jeff says:

It looks more like you used your scythe to mow that thing down.

@Jeff, I shall pass your comments on to the fine people at Gilette . Perhaps they could bring out a scythe range (double bladed obviously for a closer shave)

  • I had no idea that Wolverine briefly lived in Huddersfield. That wasn’t in the movie…

  • You had me rolling with that Wolverine picture. For a minute there I thought it was Hugh Jackman, I had to do a double take.

  • my dad used to say he wanted to shave lightning bolts into the hair on his arms. You could try that. Or, just go with the first one. The Amish look is really “in” this year.

I love Wolverine, so that look is fab. The little tissues on the chin just reminds me of my dad which is weird. And I’m amazed no one else seems to have noticed the fact that you haven’t been slapping on the sun cream young man. Or have you got slapped cheek syndrome? If so, I apologise.
