A bunch of villains and rogues, part II

on Feb 05 in General by

Through the wonders of facebook the following photo has recently come to my attention. Here’s half of the Dales/Cumbria Way crew back in the good(?) old days. Can anyone say geek?

There were a few photos of me in the set too, but for some reason my computer keeps crashing every time I try to upload them to flickr. Yeah, that’s it, my computer keeps crashing.

the question I can’t suppress is ..what’s up with the duster?
How come your computer didn’t crash while getting the banner fixed…well ..???? ;)

holyshit – i only ever met Dave around 1997 and did not know he looked like such a cunt then. He is the spit of my nephew. My nephew is also a cunt. Who are the others?

Also, it is strange seeing Lee with hair. I love Lee – nicest guy ever.

P.S. Dan – just finished downoading every episode of “I’m Sorry I Haven’t a Clue’ from 1973 ’til 2006. Let me know if you want a CD of this burning.

  • Craig says:

Arjan – The duster is because it was a murder mystery night and dave was playing a woman, probably a cleaning lady or some such. We didn’t have enough women in our social group (for obvious reasons) and the stupid instructions insisted on 4 men and 4 women. I believe Dave and myself were both women. I obviously am a cooler woman than Dave.

Mr singh – if you don’t recognise the others, I’m not telling you who they are. But put me down for one of those CDs you mention.

I am glad that craig cleared it up that this was some kind of fancy dress thing and not regular garb. I was worried about the duster.

Wow. I think I knew some of you back then, but I don’t remember you ever looking like that. The 1980s had a lot to answer for.

  • Dan says:

Rol – Looks more like Morris Minor and the Majors to me

James – Sadly this was the mid nineties. Which goes to show how out of date we really were

Arjan – As Craig said, we were doing a murder mystery evening thing. We only knew two girls (although I would like to point out for the record that one of them was actually my girlfriend)

Mr Singh – I’ve already got the clue episodes, but thanks for thinking of me. I’ve yet to work out a decent way of marking which ones i’ve listened to and which ones I haven’t.

And as craig said, you know the other two. they both were on the walk too. But I am too much of a gentleman to name and shame (although not too much of one to plaster crap photos of them all over the internet).

Craig – It’s amazing how many memories those photos brought back. You were a movie star if I remember correctly, and because of the gender switching ended up having homosexual relationships with half the men (not in real life though I must point out).

Xbox – It’s Morris Minor and the Majors I tell you!

Jeff – Nope, I’m not on there. Thank god.

Sam – Just don’t sleep in the bed next to Dave on the walk, that’s all I’m saying.

Oli – 90′s Oli. Sadly it was the 90s. And I think you did know us around that time, but perhaps on the outskirts. As you say you have a photo of me and you at a party at Craig’s house when e lived at Triangle; although that was about four years later.
