George likes dinosaurs

Ever since Evan has been able to talk he has insisted on calling his mother “Kerry” instead of “Mum”. This causes her great frustration and causes me great amusement.

However just recently the tables have been turned. As a result of his recent Peppa Pig obsession Evan has now decided he will refer to me as “Daddy Pig”.

Not only is this highly insulting, it’s also preposterous. I mean I don’t look anything like him!

Oh. Well. Maybe just a little bit.

*Oink*

It *is* preposterous. I mean, that pig’s glasses have a black frame and everything.

and you don’t have two eyes on the side of your face either!

But from the eyes of a child I can see where he’s coming from.

    Truffles anyone?

I’m sometimes Daddy Pig too. I love George’s dad, he has little care to how the world sees him, just enjoys the company of his children.

Perhaps that’s why Evan has given you the name? It is a much more comforting reason anyway.

I just think he’s clearly inherited his dad’s sense of humour and love of a good wind-up.

    From the website:

“Daddy Pig is very jolly and laughs all the time, especially when he plays with Peppa and George. Daddy Pig reads the paper and gets excited about trips in the car. He loves cookies and pumpkin pie and Peppa teases him about his big round tummy. Daddy Pig can be a tiny bit grumpy sometimes when he can’t remember where he put his glasses.”

Silly…this isn’t you. Everyone knows that you get grumpy when you lose your iphone, not your glasses.

That pig clearly needs to grow its beard out more if it wants to be put in a lineup with you.

My son has taken to calling me by my first name almost exclusively. It bothered me at first, but then I realized that I wasn’t in 1950’s America.
